I used to always play in the dirt when I was little. It was great fun! I used to dig to try and find little insects lurking about . Now, 5 years later, I learn that there is scientific proof that playing in the dirt is good for your health.

Here’s why:

A lack of serotonin production in your body, especially your brain, can cause depression, anxiety, and obsessive compulsive disorder, and bipolar disorder. These mental issues generally come from pharmaceutical drugs. These drugs can cause dependency issues or cause in more damage to the brain. Soil microbes have been found to have similar effects as some pharmaceutical drugs, and can increase your mental health. Essentially playing in the soil will act as an antidepressant and make you more relaxed.

I want to share with you some important quotes I’ve found in my further research on vibrations and what truly connects us (and what happens when we are not connected).

“There is just something about connecting directly to the Earth that is essential for our health and well being.”

“Mycobacterium vaccae is a substance found in the soil that is being studied for its antidepressant properties. This bacterium may stimulate serotonin production, which is the “happy hormone.” This can make you more relaxed and happy.”

“The microbes that are found in the soil actually cause cytokine levels to rise which results in higher serotonin production in the brain. The bacterium was tested using rats – ingestion and injection. Remarkably, the results showed an increase in cognitive ability, lower stress and better concentration on tasks than that from a control group of rats.”

I think we need to reconnect with nature and things around us, and I want to be part of reconnecting.

I’ve been researching Biohybrids. They have now connected living cells to a robots hand. This allows the “muscles” to expand and contract...
